Going into the VCT Americas Stage 2 playoffs, many were writing G2 Esports off. The regional powerhouse was at serious risk of needing to rely on results elsewhere to qualify for Champions Shanghai, but the side proved all of those notions wrong.
G2 defeated LEVIATÁN, the Masters London winners, in a close 2-1 series to secure their spot at Champions Shanghai and finals weekend in São Paulo.
Ult Orb had the chance to catch up with G2’s jawgemo and trent after the victory and discuss the win vs. LEV and how they did it, going to São Paulo and Shanghai, how the map pool shook in their favor, and playing against LOUD in their home territory.
