Going into its match against Sentinels, KRÜ was stumbling, dropping eight games in a row. As part of that slump, KRÜ player heat had lost 19 VCT matches in a row, seeing his last win on the VCT stage back during Champions 2024. But all streaks are meant to be broken.
KRÜ took down Sentinels 2-1 through a hard-fought series to get its first win of VCT Americas Stage 2. The win came at one of the best times it could, leading KRÜ right into the Play-In tournament.
Ult Orb caught up with Olavo “heat” Marcelo after the match and discussed how the team managed to get the win over SEN, the team’s role swaps, and how they’ve navigated Stage 2. He also spoke about looking forward to the Play-Ins and how it feels to be back in the win column.
